Otherwise know as hypermetropia, this is a common type of refractive error traditionally requiring correction with glasses or contact lenses. Andrew Coombes is experienced in a range of techniques to address this problem and reduce an individual's dependance on glasses. These include laser treatments such as LASIK, PRK, LASEK as well as other surgery for example PRELEX (presbyopic lens exchange). This is a procedure very similar to cataract surgery.

Additional detailed information on hypermetropia and the treatment of refractive error is available as a downloadable patient information document from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
